Dustin Hitz's Portfolio

under construction

While the majority of this site is, and will be, under construction for a long while as my schooling prrgresses, it will be updated and maintaned, however infrequently that may be.

Below you will find examples of work done in classes at the Art Institute of Jacksonville. Most will be for the puepose of learning a specific rule or task, and are more to show a progression of education rather than a final product. I have to expect that when nearing my graduation I will make a specific section to highlight what I feel is my best work on the site.

Digital Visual Composition

Assignment 1 - Photos of Shadows, Reflections, Patterns, and Lines
Assignment 2
- Examples of other photograhper's works

Introduction to Authoring

This was a class in Adobe Flash CS3. The majority of the work is too insignificant to publish here, but the final assignment, a website based on an imaginary product can be found here: bilbo.dhitz.net
I will warn that this page was built before I knew how to us a progress bar loader, so it may appear as if nothing is happening as the site loads.

Intermediate Authoring

to come...

Introduction to Scripting

Pretty much this entire class was HTML coding. Everything was coded by hand in a text editor - the only exception is that after I was done I would run the "Cleaner" to tag some of the specific XHTML code and restructure the indentation. Instead of listing all of the assignments here, I have set up a framed page to show and navigate through the weekly work.
